We started this tradition seven years ago, when I was turning 50. I was dreading the birthday, it sounded so old. I finally decided that I was going to turn 50 whether I wanted to or not, so I may make the best of it, and throw a good party. It was so much fun, and the grandkids had a ball, and the tradition took off from there.
The theme this year was Spooks and Monsters. The grandchildren requested another haunted house, and everyone got in the spirit. We set a record and all the adults dressed up this year. We had so much fun, and made so many fun memories. It helps make October a month I look forward to and fall is fast becoming one of my favorite seasons.
